1. To build authentic and traditional Polynesian voyaging canoes of the types called Tepuke and Te AloLili and Alo uwa using only traditional materials and methods. This shall benefit the Taumako community in:
   
   a) Reviving traditional skills in the identifying and selection of right trees and sticks used in building the vakas,
   
   b) Identifying plant materials used to weave into kaha (ropes) and the weaving of the sail mat,
   
   c) Learn the knowledge of the  different  tying techniques  for lashing and  building the vakas.
   
   
2. To sail these canoes on ancient voyaging routes travelled by Taumako forefathers as means of transportation on the waters to restore traditional trading networks within the Santa Cruz island groups and elsewhere. The Taumako community will benefit through: 
   
   a) Traditional sustainable transportation within the Santa Cruz group of Islands on trading,
   
   b) Transporting of Taumako student to nearby community High Schools and reconnections with other generations of Taumako  people in Santa Cruz group of islands and beyond.
   
   
3. To train a new generation of voyagers of Taumako youth in:
   
   a) Building, navigation and sailing, maintenance of all Taumako types of voyaging canoes,
   
   b) Training women and youth in sustainable cultivation and harvesting of Plant materials, carving, weaving, cordage manufacture, food preparation, cargo management, safety at sea, weather control, traditional sailing protocols, hospitality for visitors and hosting visitors,
   
   c) Filming, documenting and publication, so that they can revive the aforementioned educational materials present their culture accurately to the world. Such recording, composing and editing or print and other media presentations, digital archiving and publication, public speaking, radio and television programming etc,
   
   d) To oversee and facilitate other development of services to the Taumako communities and people. This shall be in areas of, but not limited to the - protection and conserving of their marine resources, and sanitation and capacity building projects for women and youth of Taumako in collaboration with the established institutions in Taumako  in order to improve the quality of life in Taumako communities,
   
   e) To ensure that the Association capacitate the Taumako community in the revival of ancient stories and their documentation for future generations of Taumako with the goal that these custom stories live down through the generations. And to encourage young Taumako writers to document these stories through writing, art works and the like to preserve identities entailed in these custom stories,
   
   f) To build a traditional canoe house which shall be a shed for the vakas and as a traditional school to train new crews in building the vakas and to teach women and youth in Taumako to acquire the skills in weaving and arts which shall equip them to learn new skills and use the skills to benefit their individual lives.
